Rules

THE GAME
The regular season will consist of 7 regular season weeks and an 8th week for Playoffs. Each team will be paired against another team each week in a bay. Each team will play a 9 hole 3-person scramble. There will be a new course each week. Max 2 teams per bay & 3 players per team. Teams will alternate shots amongst their teammates and select the best ball from their shots. Then the second team will go (all their players will hit) and select their best ball. The hole will continue until both teams finish. Double Bogey is your friend (a team cannot score more than double bogey for any hole). Tee-ing up shots from the fairway is not allowed. If you swing and miss, you get one make-up shot. If you miss again, you must select the ‘pick-up ball’ option on the simulator screen. If the simulator is unable to read your ball once it’s hit, and there is a technical issue, you may select the ‘mulligan’ option and hit again. If an issue is on-going with the simulator, please bring to the attention of the on-site League Supervisor. Each team is responsible for keeping their own score and turning in a completed scorecard to the on-site SPORTSKIND official after the round.
SIMULATOR SET-UP
Prior to the start of each game, players can enter in their name, or login using the GolfZon app (Apple, Android). Men will tee-off from the blue tees, women may tee-off from the red tees. On this screen you may also select your handedness. The simulator defaults to right-handed.
COURSE CONDITIONS & SETTINGS
  • Course Conditions and Simulator Settings will be displayed on the scorecard players receive on league night.
WEEKLY CONTESTS
There will be designated holes each week for the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. These holes will be marked on your Scorecard for that round. Longest Drive must come to a stop in the fairway. Closest to the Pin must come to a stop on the green.
CASH PRIZES
Each player has the option to buy in to the Overall Longest Putt, Overall Closest to the Pin, and Hole-in-One competitions. Each contest is a one-time $20 entry. Longest Putt is guaranteed to pay out at the end of the season to whomever records the lonest putt (from the "green" or fringe").  Hole-in-One is paid out to whomever makes a hole-in-one, if no one makes a hole-in-one during the season, the pot rolls over to the next season, and so on and so forth until someone makes a hole in one. Overall Closest to the Pin wins 1/4 of the Hole-in-One pot.
TEAM SIZE
Teams are composed of two to three golfers, and they compete alongside another team in a ‘bay’. However more players may be on your roster as substitute players. A minimum of 1 player is required per team to play. There are no gender requirements. If less than 4 players show up for the match, that team does not get an extra shot, they play with the amount of golfers present. If 1 player is present, that player may take 2 shots until they are putting on the green, then they must accept the result of their 1st putt.
SUBSTITUTIONS
There is no limit on the amount of substitutions per team through the course of the league season as long as they are on the teams official roster. An official game can be played with 1 player present. If only 1 player is available, they may try to find a sub from within the league to get to 2 players. A 3rd or 4th sub must be approved by the opponents.
LENGTH OF GAMES
Each week teams will play 9 holes lasting 2-2.5 hours.
PLAYOFFS
After the 7th regular season week, top teams will be invited back to compete in the Playoffs. At the end of the Playoff round, the lowest score wins.
  • #1 Seed begins round 3 under par
  • #2 Seed begins round 2 under par
  • #3 & #4 Seed begin round 1 under par
  • Any remaining teams begin round even par
Only players who have played in at least one regular season game and are on the league roster may compete in the playoffs.
Tiebreakers if teams are tied after the 9 holes:
(If playoffs were on the Front 9, tie breaker holes are selected from the Back 9, or vice versa). Teams will compete on 2 Par 3s of the same course. If teams are still tied after playoff holes, closest average distance from the pin for both holes will determine the winner. Balls must stop on the green to count toward the average.
WAIVERS
In order to participate in the league, each participant must register online and sign the team waiver. Players must sign the waiver in order to be eligible for playoffs.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Players who have been placed on the roster and signed the waiver are eligible for the regular season and playoffs. Any player protests in the playoffs must be done before a game.
FORFEIT POLICY
If your team forfeits a match during the season, the following rules apply: First Offense: Loss of game. Score marked: 1 stroke higher than the highest team’s score from that evening. Second Offense: Score marked: 1 stroke higher than the highest team’s score from that evening and lost ability to make top 4 seeds of playoffs. Third Offense: Removal from the league. If you know in advance that your team is going to forfeit a game, we encourage you to contact us so we can inform your opponent. Teams have until five minutes past the designated start time to field a full team (or the league minimum of players required according to rules). If at that time a team is unable to field a legal team, they forfeit the game. The teams may utilize the simulator during their allotted time to play an unofficial game. The official score will be marked as a loss with the respective forfeit score.
SPORTSMANSHIP
We enforce a “Zero Tolerance Policy” in regards to behavior of players, managers, and fans. Taunting, trash talking, or abusive language will not be tolerated. Referees and SPORTSKIND  staff will have the right to reprimand or eject players, managers, or fans depending on the severity of the situation. Abusive behavior toward the referee will not be tolerated. An ejection carries a two game suspension (including the current game). In extreme cases, the player will be asked to leave the league without refund. The severity of the punishment will be based on the discretion of the referee and SPORTSKIND staff. Any rules not covered or protests will be handled by the SPORTSKIND staff. FIGHTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. ANY INSTANCES OF FIGHTING WILL RESULT IN A TEAM FORFEIT OF THE LEAGUE WITHOUT REFUND AND POSSIBLE EXPULSIONS FROM FUTURE SPORTSKIND EVENTS. ALL DECISIONS OF THE LEAGUE STAFF ARE FINAL.  THE LEAGUE STAFF SHALL ALSO HAVE THE FINAL AUTHORITY TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO MATCH SCHEDULES, MATCH DURATION, AND OTHER ASPECTS OF THE RULES OR OF THE LEAGUE.
